"Imhotep Demands his Lawsuit"

Film: Curse of the Faceless Man (1958)

Alias: Quintillus Aurelius

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Of all the catastrophes that struck the Roman empire, none is more recognized than the ruinous destruction of Pompeii. Buried under tons of volcanic ash and lava, this once pristine city left absolutely none alive. However, nothing truly stays buried forever...

History: A dedicated gladiator, Quintillus Aurelius was merely a slave in the eyes of the higher-ups. Despite this, his heart pined for the aristocrat known as Lucilla Helena. Alas, their different social status prevented them from being together. Furious, Quintillus placed a curse on Pompeii promising great ruin. He got his wish, just not in the way he probably intended. Centuries later, he was discovered as an ash-encased corpse near a box of treasure. As it turned out, this man was of Etruscan descent, and those people had a thing or two for the occult. In this case, Quintillus' state of death would not last for long. And once he rose, he began to roam the land that was once Pompeii, in pursuit of a woman that was eerily like his lost love.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After carrying his new love to the ocean, Quintillus begins to dissolve into ashes upon contact with the water. It is implied that now that he has fully ceased to be, the ex-gladiator can finally reunite with Lucilla in the heavens above.

Powers/Abilities: Nigh-invulnerable and very strong.

Weakness: Will go immobile upon losing his purpose for brief periods. Water will also dissolve him.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-Being incredibly slow and weak to water, Quintillus probably should have told his fellow Etruscans to buff him up a bit after death. Then again, all he wanted was to be reunited with his love.

Trivia: -Quintillus was no doubt named after Rome's 43rd emperor. Keep in mind that this one only lasted for a few months, and the success of his reign is a subject of debate.

-This film was considered by its director as a mere means to pave the way for later works.

"Wait. How am I going to...I did not think this one through."

He certainly wastes no time greeting these people.
Did we mention he's single?

"AUGH! FLOUR! I'M ALLERGIC!"
"Please....help me see."
Some things should never be unearthed.

"Is it the night or is the casing around me proving to be a bigger pain?"
